9 Black Women’s Trainers You Can’t Ignore

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusreddittumblrmail

You’re a runner. Congratulations on that. It’s not an easy hobby. Runners have to willingly hurt themselves all in the name of exercise. You’d think the most important part of running is the act itself but you are sadly mistaken. Behind that pain-stricken face, all runners have a sly smile. Secretly, runners only run for one reason and one reason only. Fashion.

Alright, that’s not entirely true but there are some runners that care deeply about what shirt they’re wearing if their sunglasses are cool and of course, what color their shoes are. Today, you’ll see all sorts of neon, attention-grabbing shoes on the market. These are certainly trending but don’t forget our old friend the black shoe.

Black shoes have been with us since the beginning. They’re sharp, simple and safe. You really can’t go wrong with a black shoe and they work for both genders. We’re not examining both genders today though.

Today, we are taking an in-depth look at black women’s trainers. Some will be great while others are lackluster. You’ll never know until you read the list so prepare yourself for the time of your life.

1. Nike Women’s Flex Trainer 5 Shoe

nike black womens shoes
The first shoe on this list needs no introduction. Everyone knows Nike and everyone loves Nike. If you don’t love Nike, then you will by the end of this feature. It’s safe to say that most people like Nike for their style. They just look darn good. There’s no argument there.

With this particular women’s shoe, working out in style comes easy. The black synthetic, mesh material looks classy while simultaneously acting as a breathable function. On the underside, this Nike has soul. Rubber sole that it. Don’t worry, there will be plenty more puns like that throughout this article.

Anyway, the real secret of this show are the multi-directional flex grooves. These help to enhance flexibility specific to whatever training you’re doing. Be it rock climbing, deer hunting, pizza cooking or anything else, these flex grooves can stand up to it.

If one were to rate this shoe, one would give it 4/5 stars. Actually, that’s exactly what someone did rate it. 4/5 isn’t so bad. As mentioned before, we’ll see shoes better than this and shoes far worse than this. Hopefully, you haven’t’ made up your mind yet. There’s plenty more to go.

2. Nike Women’s Flex Trainer 6

nike black womens trainers
Wait. What’s this? Didn’t’ we just look at a Nike Women’s Flex Trainer? The short answer is yes, we did. However, if you took some time to actually read this article closely, you’ll notice one major difference. This is A Nike Women’s Flex Trainer 6. Not 5. 6. Six is one more than five and five is one less than six. Understand now? Good.

So what’s the big difference between these shoes besides the name? After all, they do look relatively similar and they are both black. Even after some research, you’ll be hard-pressed to find any major differences.

Both shoes have the aforementioned, multidirectional flex grooves designed to enhance flexibility specific to your training. Furthermore, both have a phylon outsole combined with rubber pods that provide good traction. Yes, under the hood (or bonnet for those in the U.K) these shoes are quite similar. However this time, it’s not what’s inside that counts.

On the outside of this shoe, you’ll see a mesh material. No synthetic, mesh combo here. Just straight up mesh. This helps to optimize breathability to the highest level and also making your shoe lightweight. Running with heavy shoes is no fun. It’s tiring and lame. Speaking of lame, our next shoe borders the style of lame but is starting to make a comeback.

3. New Balance Women’s WX608V4 Training Shoe

black trainers for women
If we’re comparing shoes to cars, let’s call Nike a Mercedes and New Balance a Honda. It’s true that New Balance shoes aren’t as sleek or sexy as their friends at Nike but that doesn’t mean they can’t make a good shoe. In fact, they make a very good shoe. People on Amazon even rated this higher than the previous two Nike’s.

If looks aren’t an issue for you, then consider this shoe. They definitely don’t look sexy but try to forget about that part. New Balance claims to dedicate themselves to helping athletes and average joe’s alike in achieving their goals.

They design their shoes to fit first and look good second. Furthermore, they put research and development into each shoe to ensure it’s up to their high standards.

You won’t find much going on the exterior. It’s just a fabric and synthetic blend with a normal rubber sole. If you want to get a little technical though, then turn your attention to the supportive internal shank. This baby features shock-absorbing technology that protects your precious knees and other body parts.

Other than that, this looks like a rather bulky shoe but tell that to the 2,000 plus customers that gave this shoe a great review. Nice rhyme there right? There’s plenty more where that came from so stay tuned.

4. Champion Women’s Gusto Cross Trainer

black womens trainers
American writer Dale Carnegie once said to “live today with gusto.” It’s an inspiring quote but do you want to know the real meaning behind it all? Carnegie wasn’t talking about gusto in the traditional sense but actually these Gusto Cross Trainer shoes by Champion. They are arguably the best shoes on this list and here’s why.

We’re talking light weight fabric, memory foam insole, soft lining, super grip, non-marking outsole. Nothing complicated is it? You won’t see any shoe science going on here. It’s just a simple good shoe. The lightweight material of the Gusto Cross Trainer helps you up your pace dramatically.

It also features a durable upper, laces for a tight fit, padded collar, soft lining and cushiony memory foam insole for supreme comfort. Furthermore, they are all manmade materials. You know the attention to detail is top notch on this one and the Amazon reviews prove it. People praise the longevity of Champion products.

They are sporty, comfortable, tough and even fashionable too. The best part is, they achieve this all with “gusto” and a humble attitude.

5. New Balance Women’s 99v1 Flexonic Training Shoe

womens black trainers
Remember we were just talking about New Balance and how they’re not stylish and possible only for old people? Well, forget all that. These New Balance shoes defy all previous misconceptions about the brand. They’re sexy, they’re original and they are downright functional.

Through intense, athlete testing in a research lab, New Balance created a new flexonic sole designed to improve training sessions with a diverse range of flexibility. The 99v1 model seen here has a unique, engineered mesh with a clear mold to allow for more breathability and security as you move.

As you can see, this isn’t the typical New Balance experience. Perhaps they’ve heard the complaints and want to move into the current century. New Balance is an old company. They are used to changing with the times.

They wouldn’t be here if they were bad at it. Hence, we can only assume they are the masters of adaptability. If the consumers go left, they’ll go left harder. If they go right, well, you get the point. New Balance cares about their loyal customers. If you want to become one of them, then buy this shoe.

6. Skechers Women’s Graceful Get Connected Trainer

black trainers for women
Since we’re on the topic of underdog shoe companies, let’s visit our old friend Skechers. Like New Balance, Skechers has a long and successful history. However, they are not nearly as hip as Nike trainers or ASICS. Does that mean they deserve to be forgotten? Absolutely not. Skechers still makes a great shoe.

The Skechers Grace sneaker has a nice, textile upper with lace-up front. Inside, you can find a memory foam footbed and smooth textile lining for all-day comfort. Since they are both lightweight and durable, you can wear these Skechers in a variety of places.

They can be used for running around town or just walking around the house. Climbing giant hills or climbing steps to the supermarket. Lifting weights or lifting popcorn out of the bowl.

Without going any further, these are basic shoes but versatile ones. Like its name suggests, you can expect a graceful experience while wearing these underrated shoes. If you’ve learned anything by this point in the story, it’s don’t count out the underdog.

7. PUMA Women’s Tazon 6 WN’S FM Cross-Trainer Shoe

puma black trainers for women
Now that we’ve seen two dark horse candidates on this list, it’s time to unleash the front runner. This PUMA Tazon 6 is one of the highest rated shoes on this list and not surprisingly, it’s a well-deserved award.

With a sharp, streamlined silhouette, the PUMA Tazon 6 stands apart from the competition in looks alone. It has more than just style though. This shoe features a nice, synthetic leather upper with a midfoot saddle for maximum fit and comfort. For the heel, an absorbing impact rounds out the whole experience.

People love PUMA because they always fuse athletics, lifestyle, and fashion. This is a trainer shoe by definition buy don’t limit it to that. Thanks to PUMA’s unique perspective, this shoe transcends the boundaries most shoes offer.

Go ahead, just read the Amazon reviews. You’ll see countless people claiming how cute and comfortable these shoes are. Furthermore, they are not all black, like some of the other shoes on this list. It has just enough pink to give the shoe character but the black also keeps it classy.

8. ASICS Women’s GEL-Contend 3 Running Shoe

black womens trainers
We’re nearing the end of this list but we are not saving the best for last. That’s what everyone does. Instead, we are saving the best for right now. ASICS. You’ve heard them, seen them and perhaps even felt them (if you’re lucky). They’re hyped all over that world and for good reason.

The people over at ASICS don’t just make shoes. They make weapons. Foot weapons. Don’t worry, they won’t actually hurt you but they’ll hurt the confidence of anyone else you run against. Shoes alone don’t make you a better athlete but these ASICS will certainly help you. A lot.

So what’s the big deal with these shoes? After all, they’re just shoes. Wrong. They aren’t just shoes. This is the new version of the ASICS GEL-contend series. It’s designed to provide ASICS hallmark performance through mind-blowing cushioning and great fit. It’s ideal for entry-level or low mileage runners.

That doesn’t mean expert runners won’t enjoy this shoe though. It’s a high performance running shoe. Simply put. The textile/synthetic material give you that classic breathability we all know and love and the rubber sole ensure you’ll have good traction the whole time.

2,600 people can’t be wrong, can they? If they are, then what’s the point of life? This is the most popular shoe you’ll find on this list. Whether it’s the best shoe on this list is up to you. Don’t decide just yet though, we still have one more to go.

9. Nike Women’s Free 5.0 Tr Fit 5 Training Shoe Women US

womens black trainers
We started with a Nike shoe and now it’s only fitting we end with one. Also, it makes sense to end our black women’s trainers list with a women’s trainer that’s 100% black. Some might be disappointed that they can’t see the Nike “swoosh” symbol clearly. That’s the reason most people buy Nike’s.

If you are humble though and don’t mind hiding your Nike love a little bit, this shoe is a good option. It’s mesh, it has a lace up closure and features the Nike Free flex grooves for stellar flexibility. Have you ever wanted internal zonal support? Whether you did or not, you have it now with this shoe.

Rounding everything off is the cushion foam with offers a cloud-like landing surface. It’s smooth, it’s comfortable and it’s cool. Lastly, for Nike’s, this particular shoe won’t break the bank. It’s an awesome, well-rounded shoe that ends this awesome, well-rounded list of other cool shoes.

Hopefully, you enjoyed the ride. If not, then sorry. No refunds allowed.

1. ASICS Women’s fuzeX Running Shoe

red womens trainers

Let’s start this exciting list off the right way. Many consider ASICS as the best running shoe out there. Those people are not just fanboys, they actually have a good point. For those that aren’t convinced, let’s see what this fuzeX shoe is all about.

ASICS describes this shoe a versatile and polished running shoe with optimal cushioning and modern appeal. The fuzeX features ASICS newest midsole technology, fuzeGEL. This fusion of GEL and foam creates the ultimate rearfoot shock absorber that transfers to your front foot during take off. No, we are not talking about an airplane here. We are still talking about a shoe.

In addition, the fuzeX has a Seamless construction which reduces the potential for friction and irritation caused by traditional seams and stitches. ASICS treat their shoes like something out of a SCI-FI film which means your feet are in good hands. Or shoes for that matter.

2. Nike Women’s Rosherun Flyknit Running Shoes

red trainers for women
Next on this list, we have another heavy hitter in the shoe industry. Perhaps you’ve heard of a little company called Nike? Yeah, these guys have been around the block a couple times and know what they are doing. Usually, Nike brings out all the flashy, high-tech terms like ASICS but for this particular shoe, they have a change in philosophy.

“Simplicity at it’s finest” is what Nike calls this shoe. While ASICS is certainly entertaining with their scientific lingo, we must remember that these are just shoes. Ultimately, we want to run in something that is comfortable and looks pretty good. Hence, Nike delivered on that with this shoe.

Features of this shoe include a full-length Phyton insole with Solarsoft sock liner for optimum comfort. On the outsole, you can find a waffle-inspired design for superb traction. Rounding it all out is a breathable and ultra-light Nike Flyknit material. It’s a simple shoe but a darn fine. one at that.

3. Aleader Women’s Lightweight Mesh Sports Running Shoes

womens red trainers
If you’re a shoe fanatic, then you’ve probably heard the name “Aleader” tossed around a couple times. While they are generally a lesser known brand, they still make an excellent shoe. While we are on the topic, what makes an excellent shoe? Great question. Let’s see what Aleader has to say about all this.

Aleader likes to keep it simple too. This particular shoe features double layers of mesh that provides breathability and comfort. Anyone that plays sports or runs know that cool feet make for a better time.
To compliment this mesh is a traditional lace closure with back pull tab. In other words, this is a fashionable shoe with old school laces for full foot protection. The back pull tab makes for easy pull off.

On the inner workings of this shoe, you’ll find shock absorptions and a cushioned insole for a supportive fit and shock absorption properties. This is a lot to take in, right? Yes, but there is even more.

Do you ever run in the rain and feel you have less traction? You’re not imagining things. That’s real. However, Aleader has you covered with their Hydro-grip outsole. This provides good traction and stability for all road surfaces and terrains.

If you slip, don’t’ blame the shoe. This one is on you. Yes, that rhymed, thanks for noticing. There will be plenty more poetry coming up if that’s your thing.

4. DREAM PAIRS Women’s New Light Weight Go Easy Walking Casual Athletic Comfort Running Shoes Sneakers

red womens trainers
Running isn’t always about running. Sometimes it’s about walking. Walking is fun too. In fact, it’s underrated. Today, people either drive their cars or run. Whatever happened to a nice, leisurely walk? Well, it turns out there are still people that love to walk. If you are one of these people, maybe you’ll be interested in this shoe here.

DREAM PAIRS has a mission statement. They simply want you to stride along in optimal comfort. If only more people had a mission statement like that, then the world would be a better place. Again, there’s nothing too complicated here. Just a good, old-fashioned breathable mesh fabric with old school laces for a good fit. There’s also a padded collar, soft lining, and ultra soft foam insole.

Yes, they said ultra soft. That’s even softer than just normal soft. You’ll basically be walking around on a sexy, red pillow. As if that wasn’t cool enough, DREAM PAIRS has another trick up its sleeve. According to them, all these materials are man made. Is anything manmade anymore? Probably but at least we know these shoes are.

5. JiYe Athletic Shoes Men’s Women’s Outdoor Tennis Jogging Walking Fashion Sneaker, Running Shoes

red womens trainers

For number five on our list, we have yet another underdog. JiYe is their name and crazy running shoes are their game. See, there’s another rhyme. Let’s just rhyme all the time and eat some lime. Okay, well no one ever said they’d be good rhymes. Anyway, stop distracting the list. We have work to do here.

On these shoes, you’ll find what JiYe called “high-flying woven uppers.” Essentially that just mean the upper portion of the shoe is woven but can you really blame them for getting fancy with it? On the side, breathable, absorbent fabric guarantee you will never have wet, or smelly feet. Furthermore, it’s extremely comfortable to wear thanks to the elastic formation.

When you think about shoes, the last thing you probably think of is the lace. JiYe hasn’t forgotten about the lace and they want you to know all about it. For this shoe, they use ultra-dense cotton laces with a special knit. What this actually means for the performance of the shoe is unknown.

What we do know though is that JiYe cares about their lace. If they care about lace then they care about you. So if we are handing out awards, let’s say JiYe wins “Most Caring Shoe Company” on the list.

6. Saucony Women’s Ride 8 Running Shoe

red trainers for women
Time for a little pop quiz. What is one of the most respected names in running shoes? If you said ASICS or Nike then you are right. You’d also be right if you said Saucony. In fact, Saucony calls themselves one of the “most respected names in running shoes.” That’s a bold statement t say about yourself. Can they back it up though?

From the looks of this shoe, it isn’t the most stylish per say. It looks like it was born in the 1990’s and never quite grew out of the decade. Don’t let the looks fool you though. This is a great, cushioned road running and training shoe.

The padded tongue and collar make for serious comfort. Furthermore, Saucony claims their “Grid” technology is the first sole, based stability, and cushioning system on the market. Thus, giving advantages to athletes of all shapes and sizes.

7. WELMEE Women’s Comfortable Breathable Walking Sneakers Lightweight Athletic Tennis Running Shoes

red trainers for women
At this point in the list, we’ve seen a wide variety of shoes. We’ve seen simple shoes and complex shoes. We’ve seen stylish shoes and ugly shoes. We’ve seen red shoes and other red shoes. We’ve seen a lot of shoes. Despite all those experiences, this shoe stands out from the crowd. The secret, ladies, and gentlemen lie within the flames.

It’s common knowledge that anything with flames is of the highest quality. Think about cars and your uncle’s silk shirt. Basically, if there are flames on it, that means you are to be respected. These shoes are no different.

Besides the supreme style, WELMEE has “five core features.” Do you want to know what these are? If not, then leave now but come back for number eight on the list. Continuing on, the five features are:

  1. Responsive cushioning
  2. Breathable and comfortable
  3. Adaptive support
  4. Extremely durable stability
  5. Anti-collision

There you have it. At first, it looks like a car description but it’s a shoe. A shoe with flames. You’re probably thinking that this list can’t get any better but you’d be wrong. There are still a couple more shoes to go here and they are all amazing.

8. New Balance Women’s W650V2 Running Shoe

red womens trainers

New Balance dedicates themselves to helping athletes and regular people alike achieve their goals. For more than a century, it’s been their goal to research and develop they highest quality shoe possible. Did they succeed? Well, that one is up for interpretation.

Generally speaking though, New Balance makes a great shoe and this is just one of them. They have a nice, balanced blend of fabrics and synthetic material. The sole is nothing too crazy. It’s just rubber but it gets the job done. Like other good running shoes on the market, this running shoe has breathable mesh, synthetic overlays and a padded tongue and collar.

It even looks rather stylish, which is quite rare for New Balance. Usually, New Balance focuses on function rather than form but it looks like this shoe is the exception.

9. On Women’s Cloud Sneaker

red trainers for women

For the last shoe on this list, we’re going to leave you in the clouds. Not literally but sneaker company On call these shoes the Cloud. This versatile trainer is perfect for runners and other athletes thanks to the breathable mesh upper and synthetic overlays that provide structural support. You won’t find any normal lace here though.

With the slip-on and go speed lacing system, the shoe will fit like a glove without wasting any precious time. There’s nothing worse than having to stop every few minutes to tie your shoe, especially while you’re trying to chase that elusive “runner’s high.”

The real beauty of this shoe is the CloudTec sole. CloudTec sole is only active during the foot strike and becomes rock solid firm for an efficient toe take off. This CloudTec sole is made from zero gravity foam that combines minimal weight with superb cushioned comfort.

If you count them all, you’ll see 16 cloud pods that are directly attached to the Speedboard. Not only does this reduce bulk but allows for the sole to adapt to your very own footprint.

It’s a customizable shoe experience and this is due to the central channel between the lateral and middle sides of the foot. This lets the CloudTec adapt to the unique movement of your particular foot. It’s a different experience for everyone and that is a beautiful feature.
Some shoe companies might say their product fits all shapes and sizes but this one actually follows through on that. If you have some oddly shaped feet, give CloudTec a try.

Well, there you have it everyone. The best red, women’s trainers on the internet. Hopefully, you’ve learned a thing or two about shoe technology. If not, then let this be an apology. Sorry for failing you. If you enjoyed it though, then thanks for your time and patience throughout this remarkable experience.
